Why Hello

So it's been awhile. After A and I broke up, I needed time to think. He wanted to get back together but in the end, I broke both our hearts by letting him go. It was one of the hardest things I've ever done and I'd be lying if I said I don't think about it still.

That said, a lot of has happened. I volunteered for Sundance for the first time and it was a great experience. Provided that they will have me, I will try to volunteer again next year. I've also been traveling a lot. I went to the grand canyon with some friends last weekend, Mccall two weekends before that and in the midst of all this, I got to attend two conferences: a developmental biology conference and a translational medicine conference  I also found out that my developmental training grant was rejected....I may try again in the fall because the reviews weren't terrible and I kind of knew it was a long shot this time.

I have a busy month ahead....gordon conferance, first committee meeting, LMSA conferance, B2B competition, and some important experiments for my project. Needless to say, I probably won't be blogging for a while.

In other news, I've been trying to be healthier. I've managed to make it to the gym 5 times per week for 2-3 hrs each time (I like taking classes...esp turbo kick, zumba, and ballet barre). I have also been trying to eat healthier (I've converted to rice milk and only one meal with carbs per day). I have also started reading more...I recently read Racing in the Rain and Budda in the Attic. I am currently reading A Sand County Almanac by Aldo Leopold for a health/humanties book club. Haha....hello new me! I hope you stick around for a while.
